Yo future youngins!

This is a student writing a letter to you from 2019, class of 2021. I just wanted to let you know that the earth is kind of getting pretty polluted and I was wondering if you could help out cleaning it. I don’t know what the past generations was thinking, but they were in denial about the whole global warming thing. I also thought nothing could ever possibly happen to us, but things like sea level rise and ice cap melts started and I’m worried. So actions like not wasting water and using less gas would significantly help if we all cooperate. I wouldn’t have too many children either because the population is about 7.5 billion and it’s pretty crowded on here. Our earth could only do so much and we have to treat it right. I hope you understand, thanks.

On a different topic I got some advice for you. Remember to never give up on something. I wouldn’t procrastinate because you will regret it a bunch. If you play video games or watch youtube videos I wouldn’t spend to much time on that. It’s fun and all, but now that I look back in hindsight I would have rather played outside and hang out with my friends. Your body will feel tired and unmotivated if you stay indoors all the time. Eat healthy because you wouldn’t want to feel like turds. Make some friends and use your youth to the best of your ability because it only last a couple of years.

More Messages to the Future

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.

Dear my future loved ones,

I hope that humans can live harmoniously with the earth.

Dear Beloved Children,

As time progresses, there is hope that value will be placed on all living organisms, including humans, plants, and animals. Life will move at a slower pace, and being on your own time and moving at your individual pace will be the typical way of life. I consider this way of life good living, and I hope that future generations will live on this earth as it was once intended to live in peace and harmony.

To my future children,

It’s not enough to just recycle. I will sign petitions and call my local representatives. I will also engage in conversations about climate change – even with people with whom I don’t see eye-to-eye.

Dear people of The Future,

Thank you for reading. Do your part to save the globe.

Dear Abigail and Olivia,

What stories will you tell them about our generation? Will we be heroes or villains?

Dear Indigenous Persons with Disabilities,

Dear Indigenous Persons with Disabilities,

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to pick up trash at every beach I visit 🙂 and to bike for local errands.

To my Dad,

I hope on this Father’s Day, my 24th birthday, and the rest of days, we remember that the most basic part of life is living happy with the ones we love. Acting every day against climate change will allow us to keep that simple piece of humanity.

Querida Alê,

Por você idealizei um mundo melhor e lutei incessantemente por ele.

I want to tell you a story. Yes, another one.

Mankind has always been able to deal with the greatest challenges it’s faced and this will not be the exception. My message to you is: find that passion and give it your all. ‘Till your legs give out.

To my dear son,

Last year most of the world’s reefs turned white at some point, but because it was underwater you and your friends didn’t see.
