One of my favorite parts of the environment is how much is unknown, mysterious, and yet to be explored. The environment also has the power to invoke so much emotion. The ocean reminds me of how small I am in a world so diverse and large. Forests remind me of what it is like to take deep breaths filled with oxygen and feel at peace. A desert reminds me of why fresh water is so important for survival. Mountains remind me of strength and the complexity of our landscapes. My love for nature continues to grow each day and I hope you have had the chance to continue to explore the unexplored.

Climate change threatens the natural world. As climate change continues down this road, beautiful environments filled with abundant life are at stake. Without protection, some of your favorite areas could be lost. I want you to see the world before it is too late. I want to have children that can experience the ocean, forests, deserts, and mountains before it is too late. I want a better future for the world one in which focuses on connection with nature rather than a fight against it.

I hope for a government to protect the environment like it plans to protect its people. I pray for a president that believes in climate change and plans to make a difference. I hope that you are using your voice for change despite those that may still disagree. The environment needs the help of each individual in the world and maybe you can help spark that desire in some.

I promise to fight for the environment, for oceans, forests, deserts, mountains, and all the other diverse areas of the planet. Everyone I speak to will hear about the carbon tax and how important it is to hold each other accountable. Promise yourself that becoming more sustainable is an ongoing process and you will never give up.
