To my future grandchildren,

I just want to start off by saying this: I’m so sorry.

It’s 2019 now and we’re trying our best to right the wrongs of our grandparent’s generation. As of November 25th, greenhouse gas emissions are at it’s highest. The Amazon rainforest is on fire. Venice, Italy is underwater. Koalas are almost extinct. By the time you read this, there will be even more consequences than what we could have predicted.

Please know there are people out here right now championing your future. I’m going to fight for your future. I can only hope you do the same for your grandchildren.

Remember your values. Remember to be kind. Even if there’s nothing else on this planet, kindness will see itself through.

Dear Jackson,

I feel deeply that it is my moral obligation as your Mom to protect your future and allow you to inherit a clean and healthy planet.

Dear Tomorrow,

The road I learned to ride my bike on, the field where I kicked my first soccer ball, and the park I ate my first ice cream cone at, could all be gone.

Dear future self,

I am writing this to keep myself accountable and push myself towards taking action towards a sustainable future. I hope children of the future can still appreciate the wonders that nature and all its beings have to offer, appreciate the beauty in the world around us.

Dear ACS, LG, CM, MCD, AH, MS, AS, GL, and ERD,

I commit to demanding that politicians that want my vote, my time, my substantial help and expertise are people who seek to address climate change seriously and talk about it boldly.
