To my future children,

Today, I am writing to you about the climate. The world is in a horrible state and the president the nation elected believes global warming and climate change is a hoaxes. There is wildfires on both ends California and other places are flooding. India air quality has passed hazardous levels. I am currently taking a climate change class in college and I have learned that if the world (especially the United States) do not take action now you might not be able to experience snow or other amazing things I was privileged to grow up with. You already probably reading about this in your textbooks or laugh about what this nations thoughts were.

I hope you get to experience snow and see the animals I grew up seeing and have the Amazon Rainforest. I hope that what the generations before me decided to ignore, your generation and future generations not ignore. I hope you get to experience seasons and get to breathe fresh air. I hope the mission of so many people as Greta Thunberg, come true.

I do not know what the future holds, but I am doing my part in making sure the people I vote for take this world as serious as this climate change is doing. I am trying to lower the levels of energy we use in the household, but it sometimes is hard when your aunt is so stubborn. They say it takes a village to raise children, well it will take the effort of the whole world to be able to improve our living arrangements for now and the future. Please take care of Mother Earth as I try today and tomorrow and hopefully you and your generation in the future.

More Messages to the Future

The gift for next generation,

To save the big world, perhaps, we should change the mind from myself to my small family to my community.

To My Future Child(ren),

The fact that you are reading this means that you would know the answer to a question that has kept me up at night more often than I would like to admit: Did I make you proud?

Dear Indigenous Persons with Disabilities,

Dear Indigenous Persons with Disabilities,

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to pick up trash at every beach I visit, use metal straws, take quick showers.

Dear Tomorrow

Stay Cool and Save the Whales

Dear Kaydence,

I will keep trying Kaydence, I promise. And I hope we can look back together in 2050 and smile, knowing that our Earth is healthy once again.

Dear future generations,

Young people are making a lot of noise and politicians are now listening.

Dear Future Generations,

I promise to make as many changes to my life as possible to make yours as great as mine.

Dear Nieces, Nephews, & Future Children…

If there is any advice I could give you, it is to believe that although you are one single person in this world, you still have the ability to make a difference in this world.

Rachel and Noelle,

I hope in a small way this helps your world.

Dear tomorrow,

If there’s one thing young people have learned while quarantining, it’s that Gen Z holds so much power and is capable of a lot more than we think. We’ve created a community that has united us all and started to bring about change for the good of our futures. Now, with the help of Gen Z (and of course, people of all ages), we have the power to save our home, the Earth.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I’ll replace our lights with LED lights.
