Dear child,

I hope nothing but the best for in all of your future endeavors. I would like the to take the time to apologize to you for how bad our climate has become. The issue was just beginning when I was young and unfortunately my generation didn’t do enough to change the what everyone predicted, a much warmer earth. In my defense, I did everything in my power to try to prevent this warmer earth; I used LED lightbulbs, reduced my electricity usage, and recycled as much as possible. Among other things, our earth has become very warm and I am sorry you have to deal with these conditions we now live in. As your father, I promise to continue to reduce my carbon footprint as long as I’m around, so your children can have a more enjoyable earth to inhabit. Please take care of yourself, and be conscious of your daily carbon footprint. There is much information of the internet to help you out with this.

My climate promise is to reduce electricity at home. I will turn off the TV and lights when I’m not in the room.

Dear Tomorrow,

We only have 11 years left until the damage done by climate change is irreversible.

Dear future child,

We’re presenting at conferences, writing articles, and organizing events with the goal of mobilizing our profession to act on climate, and to help them understand that it will deeply impact our mission to preserve history for future generations.

Dear Children and Grandchildren,

I see a world full of hope fueled by the desire for change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will convince my family to switch their gas appliances to electric.
