To my daughter,

We learned about it and knew.Ā Yet production still grew.

The Amazon, the Virunga, they were of the few left with some of the oldest living species on earth. But right now there’s not much I can do.

Their trees come down and with it any bit of human dignity. It is not the fault of the people that do it, but the system which forces them to.

Society has created a way of life which is based off unlimited wants and limited resources, with some getting all that they want at the cost of others never getting what they need. Because of human greed.

But happiness can only be found in other people, not the oil fields or mining mountains. Remember that what makes the world beautiful is not what can be made but who can make it better.

More Messages to the Future

To my sons,

I’m voting with climate change as a top priority. I’ve tried to teach you boys that we need to clean up after ourselves and take care of the earth. I promise to continue doing these actions and more, for your sake.

Dear future self,

I am writing this to keep myself accountable and push myself towards taking action towards a sustainable future. I hope children of the future can still appreciate the wonders that nature and all its beings have to offer, appreciate the beauty in the world around us.

Dear Tomorrow,

This is just the beginning. It’s the accrual of little seeds of change that will lead to the tree of revolution.

Future Self & Ka’iulani,

We promise to reduce the amount of carbon we use on a daily basis.

Dear Future Me,

I hope that when we look back on these years,Ā  you’ll see that humanity can be good. That we joined together and fixed it because of we don’t, who will?

Dear Kaydence,

I will keep trying Kaydence, I promise. And I hope we can look back together in 2050 and smile, knowing that our Earth is healthy once again.

Dear future generations,

It’sĀ never too late to make a difference. Our actions have very real consequences. We can educate ourselves, learn from our mistakes, and take action. We can hold companies like big oil and big plastic accountable for their negative impacts on the environment. We can educate ourselves and others about what causes climate change and what actions we as individuals can take to lower our carbon footprints.

Paz e bem

Vivamos a vida com intensidade, NĆ£o nos importando a localidade.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to drive less and walk more.

Dear future generations,

Young people are making a lot of noise and politicians are now listening.

Dear Makena,

Sweetie, you deserve clean air, water and soil. You deserve to thrive in an environment that supports you.

Dearest Gray,

When I asked you why the purple Violet called to you, you told me it was ā€œmagicā€. I hope that you can still find the magic of life. I hope, despite everything, it is still in abundance.
