To my child,

Hi, 2050:
In the year of 2050, I am 55 years old and my child would be building up their own family. My grandchild is so youth to talk with them the social issues and environment where we’re living. And I appreciate my parents still in life. In 2050, the technology should be maturity and become developed, such as artificial intelligence and cloud data analysis would replace our most traditional human jobs, our lives are going to a huge difference as the lifestyle I lived in my young age. I cannot imagine and figure out how much change the world after 40 years later, other than the climate change. In 2050, the temperature would be increased and be worse. For example, the result of the global ices melt would cause the sea level increase. The air pollution and water pollution would cause many others diseases and health problems. Surely, I believe the up-to-date technology would help those humans solving some reliable and serious trouble like moving out of the space or treating some horrible diseases like Cancer. However, the global sources are limited, especially the money. I never imagine that my family can earn too much money to move out of the space, but I hope my family can be the morality ones who can treasure our hometown. I hope my family, including my children, my grandchildren, and my parents can protect the world we live, whatever the future technology can solve those environmental issues, but both we should pay attention and morality to the social responsibility. Hopefully, we both have a healthy life in our future.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to work with my family and neighbors to reduce carbon output.

Dear Alyssa,

I pray that more and more fathers will realize that to love their children well, they have to love and respect the ecological systems around them too.

Dear my future child,

I promise you, I am going to do everything I can to save this planet for you. I won’t let you down, I swear.

Dear Tomorrow,

It wasn’t about Him, it was about Us. And this isn’t about Me, it’s about You. And it won’t be about You, it will be about Them.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to clean the earth.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will do whatever I can to protect and preserve mother Earth for future generations.

My Mini & Lou,

Since I first sat down with these words, a pandemic has erupted. Racial violence is reaching a fever pitch and protests are raging across the nation. It feels like the planet is succumbing to entropy, slipping further into chaos. But I write to you from a time of shifting tides.

To anyone who has heard my music,

I promise to care about the planet.

To my unborn children, hey it’s mummy Cris here!

I am witnessing climate change in a way that I do not like, and I do not know how can I stop it.

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.

Dear Maya, Emilio and Daniel,

We thought that the world was an endless supply of whatever we wanted… I know it sounds hard to believe, but that is the way it was.

Dear Tomorrow

Colin
