To My Beloved Children,

I was thinking about how to give you a better life in the future. I thought of how to get you to a famous school, how to support you do whatever you want, how to bring you a wealthy life. However, the events in 2020 have changed my thought. I found out that all you need is living a healthy life and grow up in a clean environment to enjoy your childhood like what I had.

Let me tell you stories about what is happening around me now. This is the first time I saw big wildfires in California that stole many people’s life, firefighters’ life. This is the first time I saw an orange sky as the end of the world. This is the first time I cried so much when seeing many floods came and drown houses, animals, and everything. This is the first time your grandma told me she is worried if you will grow up without having a real childhood of playing outdoors. We experienced Climate Change has a huge impact on our lives. It is terrible to say that it is getting worse day by day.

Our effort is not enough to stop the negative impact of Greenhouses gases. I’m so sorry that we unintentionally harm the environment and created a huge impact on your generation. I promise that we will try our best to stop what is happening now. I’m not sure how long it will take to get back what we had in the past, but I really hope we can give you all the best. Also, I hope you will know how important of mother nature as well as protect the environment.
