To “I” before “U”,
You messed up. Yes, you. Not I. I actually assumed responsibility for my actions. I did everything as I should do. I buy local produce, I recycle, pick up litter, I also do my best to bring my own cup to Starbucks for my coffee so I don’t waste a cup. There is no “We” messed up. Nah. Because when you say “We” you are saying “I” didn’t do my part.
I hope you are pissed. I am not saying the following to make you feel good about yourself. I am not a parent by any means and I am not wiser or more intelligent than you. What I am is angry. Angry that people are so stuck on themselves that they choose to not do anything now. This letter is to you. You who thinks their life is the center of attention. You whom judge others but do not look at their own faults. This letter is a reminder of that nagging voice that sits in the back of your mind that guilt’s you for not doing the right thing. I hope this letter reaches “you” now because I may not exist in the future to tell you otherwise.
