To Aacia,

I’m so sorry so much stress and abundance precarious things have been handed to you and your generation.  It would be easy to ramble on the various negative impacts global climate change has on our land, animals, and way of life, but it’s harder to find a solution when the causes are greater than individual impact. I hope for you now (meaning the future) industrial industries have found a new way of attaining clean energy and everybody uses that energy.  Although, that seems like a stretch. I am doing my part everyday by using public transportation, limiting my car usage and walking, cutting down on water usage, and mindfully purchasing sustainable resources.  I want your life to not be filled with the stressors climate change infringes upon you. I love you so much and our earth so much.

More Messages to the Future

Dear my future family,

I will promise to help climate change as much as I can.

To my precious children,

As you’ve grown older, I’ve become increasingly aware that protecting you means more than ensuring your short-term safety. It also means ensuring that you’ll have a safe planet to live on.

Dear Grandchildren — August and any others who were born after him

I joined millions of other people who wrote letters and made calls urging our leaders to do more to care for the planet.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to use a refillable bottle, bring my own resusable spoon/form wherever I go, use clean personal care products (without chemicals).

Dear Tomorrow,

The transformation of human consciousness

Dear Eleanor,

Dear Future Me,

I hope that when we look back on these years,  you’ll see that humanity can be good. That we joined together and fixed it because of we don’t, who will?

Dear Ryan,

I hope that you start doing things that will help the world.

Dear Amara and Uma,

Maybe you heard about bats? Bats, the carriers of this disease that spread among us like wild fire. I love bats. When I was your age today, sitting in the evening on the back terrace of your grandparent’s home in Ibiza, hundreds of bats would play, dance and sing among the trees.

Dear Eleanor,

You are so small. So innocent. So beautiful. For you and for everyone else, I will try harder.

Dear Hannah, Harper and future baby of Ryan and Colleen Lane,

I will not stop fighting for a more sustainable future, your future.

Dear future generations,

Past generations took all the trees, polluted all the water, fished all the fish, and hunted all the animals so that there’s almost nothing nice left.
