Loved One,

I hope this letter finds you in a good place, physical, mentally, and spiritual. Today, I am doing my part so you have a bright future a head of you. The negative human impact on the earth is effecting us all, hopefully this is a worry of the past, that is why I am writing since today too many lives are being destroyed because of climate change. I am looking to slow and even cease this process by reaching out to my community to shift thought processes about sustainability. That we all have a role to play no matter how small, we all can make a difference. My focus it to see that my and other communities are becoming more conscious consumers by knowing their impact with buying different products and the quantity of the purchase as well. Are people today more aware of their purchase power and the impact it lays on all aspects of the supply chain in effect as well as the economy? That we have the power to normalize purchases of fair trade products and goods. That we don’t have to question the ethics of everything created in this world. Do we really need to continue to fight for basic human right still? Such as the access to clean and safe drinking water. Are their more issues then today? Or are their just different issues? Are their less issues? I hope for less issues, that the global community has ethical good, fresh water, living wages, suitable working conditions, access to organic foods, and that all is well. If we all work together we can make this idealize world a reality, I hope you are living in it.
Much Love,
Emily

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tara,

Each of us only has so much power and the problem is HUGE, but I worked at this every day.

To My Daughter and Future Grandchildren,

There are so many more things that we can do together to help our Earth from the damage that has been done, and I am so excited to teach you.

Dear my future family,

I will promise to help climate change as much as I can.

Dear Lucie,

Lucie, I love you more than you could ever know and I hope that my promises help contribute to a better world for you and inspire you to take action as well as you grow into the amazing adult I know you will be.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to turn old shirts into produce bags.

Dear Future Self,

I am scared of the things happening right now with our planet.

Dear Future,

I hope that things have cooled down. I hope that people and governments have come together to save our earth. I hope that everyone is able to breath clean air, drink clean water and see the beauty in nature that I do. I promise to do my best to take part in repairing the damage we’ve done so that my hopes may come true.

To my fellow adventurers,

Don’t stop looking for adventures.

To what we’ve overcome.

The first step would be in overcoming ourselves. Because whether we end up fading into obscurity, or thriving in prosperity, we will overcome ourselves.

Dear Maya, Emilio and Daniel,

We thought that the world was an endless supply of whatever we wanted… I know it sounds hard to believe, but that is the way it was.

Dear Future Generations,

Dear Future Generations,

Querida Tainah,

Quero que você beba água pura, coma alimentos sem agrotóxicos e que sua casinha branca com varanda, seja voltada para o leste, onde o sol vai nascer.
