CO2 has just passed 405 ppm, and we all now know where this is headed. I am so sorry we didn’t realize this predicament sooner, although even then, I’m not sure we could have mustered the collective will to do much about it. We have just guaranteed that the world will never look or feel the same as it did when my grandparents, parents, or I was growing up. I doubt humanity will survive this in the long run, and it will be increasingly miserable for those who do survive. We are a greedy little species, and we probably deserve what we have done to ourselves. Too bad we also wrecked it for all other life on Earth as well.
