Dear Tomorrow,

Living in a society consumed by materialism, we are told that success is measured in monetary form. It is only when one is brave enough to step back and look beyond themselves do they come to the realization that there are people who have lost, or have never even had, basic necessities for livelihood. In this interconnected, interdependent world, every action makes a difference. It is up to us if that is going to be a positive or negative mark on the world. I have chosen to live informed, aware, and motivated to act in a way that shoes a better tomorrow for not only myself, but future generations.

More Messages to the Future

Jeremy M,

My promise is to work to protest carbon emissions.

For my children,

If we haven’t done enough and the world you’re living on is apocalyptic or if you’re living on another planet then I’m deeply sorry and just know that I believe in you and I know that you are both strong and smart enough to handle anything.

Dear Brady,

I will work everyday to combat climate change for your today, for your tomorrow!

Dear future child whatever your name is,

Climate change right now is really bad, I’m writing this during the COP26 conference in Glasgow (which is an hour away) and I’m listening to politicians talking about promises for the future. “If we fail, future generations will never forgive us.” -Boris Johnson

I promise to take shorter showers.

To my children,

I am working with 350.org on shutting down the coal and unconventional gas industries in our country because I cannot think of a more direct way to protect you, the food, water and biodiversity we all love and rely on.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to include the trees and animals in all my decisions.

My future husband,

I want us to read this in future time and remember all the senses and views we witnessed.

Dear Future Explorers,

I am often faced with the question: why do I care so much about this pale blue dot that we inhabit?

Dear next generation,

Please don’t wait to see the adverse effects instead adopt that river, stream, lake or ocean to make the world a better place.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise when I start my baking franchise, I will reduce pollution made by it as much as physically possible.

Dear Tomorrow-My letter to the future 2030

I am most sorry we could not work through our differences, and see through the greed, get organized, and do more so that you could have a better life in your 2030 future.
