I personally did all I could to make the world a better place for you. I was far from alone in the effort. We’ve had to contend with obstacles like ignorance and greed (that did its best to foster ignorance). The struggle isn’t over and while I hope we’re on the winning side because good is supposed to triumph over evil, at this point I don’t know what you’ll have to face, if indeed there are any human beings or life of any kind, for that matter, left to face anything worthwhile. And, if this summer has taught me anything, I am content (because I have to be) living in this limbo, this seemingly endless waiting for the opportunity to change, when really the opportunity exists within our very selves all along.

I plan to plant more things this spring, as we do every year in our garden.

I will stop using plastic and will plant trees. I will also not waste water and electricity.

If we work together to spread the awareness of what is occurring today, we will be able to prevent it from continuing into the tomorrow.

Dear Brothers & Sisters All Across Mother Earth,

I promise to wholeheartedly live my life with an awareness of my personal impact on our communities and our planet.

Dear my future family,

I will promise to help climate change as much as I can.
