Dear Tomorrow,

The path getting here is convoluted. It’s confusing and not something I entirely understand. I won’t pretend to, nor will I ever be able to. I acknowledge that it’s not something I’ll ever be able to fully grasp.

I’ve learned and I am still learning how I can do my part and contribute to something much larger. Though I don’t have all the answers, I promise to still question. Though I’ll never find a solution to make these problems go away on my own, I am a part of a larger community that won’t stop until we do.

They say one man can change the world, but what can an army do? There are many others fighting for the same things as I β€” reducing the impacts of climate change, equal opportunity and equity for all, economic and political justice β€” just to name a few. We really are in this together. And together, we’re fighting for a better tomorrow. Though I can’t grasp the magnitude of the societal and environmental issues we face today, together, collectively, we can. Each individual, each story is unique and equally as important and valued. By coming together we can get through this. And so can you.

With love,
Claire
