Dear my future self,
It is fall semester 2020 and you’re about to finish taking a Global Climate Change course. I hope that in 30 years you’ve done what you can to make less of a carbon footprint in the world. I hope you’re sharing what you know and are passing down good habits to your children and grandchildren so that eco-consciousness is being passed down through generations. I hope people that care about the environment have been put into office and are doing what they can to fight climate change and people that are against it. I hope the United States has moved into a less consumeristic society and we’re being more eco-conscious of our spending and of our electricity. I hope the automobile industry has moved into full electric or that US public transportation has gotten sustainably better. I pray that our waters are less polluted, our air quality is clean year round. I pray that we’re not experiencing crazy weather change, and our forests are fuller and greener. I’m hopeful for the future, the best I can do now is wait and see.
