On this day in 2020, you are conflicted about your family, life, and career. You don’t know anything about what it is like working in the sustainability and environment sector because you’ve been focused on working in book publishing. As much as you love the book publishing world, you know your heart will not be settled until you start using your energy towards helping the planet.

Future-me, I hope you have changed your life. I hope you have managed to find a way to work in these sectors. I hope you were brave.

The most important thing in my life is you, which means that as your mom – I am doing my very best to make sure that when you read this letter, Earth is a cleaner and safer place for you and your children.

In 2050, I will still be fighting against climate change. I feel that it’s not only my duty, but rather my destiny.

Please don’t wait to see the adverse effects instead adopt that river, stream, lake or ocean to make the world a better place.
