Dear Future Maria,

It is currently 2020 and our Earth is slowly starting to get hotter and hotter and more polluted. We live in Florida right now and our winters no longer get hotter than 70 degrees! Many people don’t seem to have any regard for climate change, but it is a lot more serious then it is made out to be. Everyone has theories as to when the world will end because of climate change, but only you can know the real answer to that. Climate Change has recently been causing many glaciers to melt due to warm weathers and so far 2020 is on path to being the hottest year. I promise to try and make a difference to prepare this world to be at its best for you 30 years from now. I will talk to our parents about powering our home with renewable energy, reduce water waste, buy better bulbs, and unplug things when they aren’t in use. I am determined to make this Earth one you can live on to read this letter.
