You are the age now that I was when I wrote you this. You were a baby then and I worried about you, about the planet, about our future. I saw so much potential in you since you were born and I hoped that the state of the world would not hinder you and what you decided to do with your brand new life. Now I am an old lady and we are still here, still fighting. Maybe you’ll be writing a similar letter to a baby in your life now. If that’s the case, please know that chances are good that baby will end up writing a letter when she is your age, to another baby. And we will still be here, passing down what we know and fighting to heal ourselves and our planet.
