Dear future self or to anyone who may read this,

I hope by the time that you read this letter, there would be more people that will take climate change seriously. I am writing this letter in 2020 where the climate change issue is still a heavily debated topic. This year has been a crazy year with the wildfires that took place in CA, hurricanes and the pandemic. Hopefully, by the time you have read this letter things are more calm and that you are doing your best to teach others to take climate change and global warming more seriously. Try your best to lead a clean and healthy lifestyle so that you can lower your carbon footprint and protect the planet. Try to be a good role model for others to follow and always try to have a positive impact on others!

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will eat vegan, organic, locally grown, and seasonal.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to try to set up crowd funding for grants to people with realistic proposals to fight climate change.

Dear Jackson,

I feel deeply that it is my moral obligation as your Mom to protect your future and allow you to inherit a clean and healthy planet.

I pledge to use less plastic.

Dear Grandchildren,

I hope we can pass on a better place to live so that my grandchildren and their future children can enjoy the beauty of nature that our wonderful God has given us.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to pick up trash at every beach I visit 🙂 and to bike for local errands.

Dear Ezmae,

As I write this, I consider giving up as it sometimes seems that all is lost. But then I think of you.

Pick up your trash wherever you go!

Dear Madeleine,

First of all I hope we succeeded in our dream that yours is a better world than the world of 2021. Today, the forests are burning, the sea levels are rising and wild weather is everywhere. But we are working hard and I’m confident we will succeed.

To my daughter and son,

Surrounded by scientists who shared my fears and visions, I often had a hard time to accept that outside our small community climate change received marginal attention.

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.

Dear Ellis,

So, dear heart, I am doing everything I can as the situation worsens.
