The year is 2050—I hope the world looks more beautiful now than is did when I wrote this. I hope that you’re living in sunshine with clean, fresh air by an ocean that is healthy and by a meadow that is full of life. It was 2020, the year I realized that life is fragile—not just mine, but the entire planet—through immense consumption, pollution, greediness, ignorance, false bliss. This wasn’t the way I wanted to live my life, so I promise to actively make the change. I promise to start small and do my part to make sure you can eat delicious fresh foods, swim in oceans, and breathe in air. For you, I will commit to eating plant-based foods (for the health of myself and the Earth), buying less and preserving more, and advocating for you—my future, family, hopes, dreams, and life. You are worth it.
