Dear Future Self,

I never learned about climate change in detail ever before this year. Both in terms of theoretical and actually seeing what’s happening around us. Human beings are destroying this beautiful natural environment just for their own short term benefit. We know that we are doing bad to this environment and we also have some resources to stop this harm. However, we are not developing enough technology or taking the initiative to stop harming our environment.

After learning how much negative impact that we are having on this planet, and seeing all that happening around me (wildfires in California and Australia, hurricanes in southern states of America, etc), I promise to myself that I will do whatever is in my power to contribute for reducing this impact. I can change my lifestyle for using more eco-friendly products, saving energy, eating food that has lower carbon footprint, etc. I believe that if everyone in this world start taking initiative at individual level, we are not far away from a day when we can actually control this climate change on global level.

For my own future as well for the future generations, I will try as best as I can to mitigate the damage that we are doing to the land that belong to someone else (future generations).
