Dear Future Self,

Aside from your pet dog, baby goat, sloth, and sea otter… I hope you’re continuing to make a difference by spreading awareness about climate change. Although using your reusable water bottle and finding alternate ways for transportation is helping… I hope you got your dream job of using your business degree to reduce co2 emissions and promote sustainable energy. I hope you’re continuing to advocate for equal rights as well as spreading kindness to whoever you meet. I promise to keep fighting for a better world for the polar bears, future child, future husband and especially for Mom. As for now, I’ll be resuming to work for the beautiful life in your point in time. Here’s to a better future for everyone.Ā

More Messages to the Future

Dear Evie of 2050,

I can feel the change happening — many people are working to transform the world.

To my dear children in the year 2050,

I don’t wish to go backwards, but I do wish we would slow down and design our brave new world with more care.

Dear future child whatever your name is,

Climate change right now is really bad, I’m writing this during the COP26 conference in Glasgow (which is an hour away) and I’m listening to politicians talking about promises for the future. ā€œIf we fail, future generations will never forgive us.ā€ -Boris Johnson

I pledge to take the bus.

Dear old dude MƄrten,

I know that the 2019 version of me (today that is) wished and hoped for that I did all within my power to turn the world around without loosing sight on the beauty of being alive.

Dear Future Self,

It was 2020, the year I realized that life is fragile—not just mine, but the entire planet—through immense consumption, pollution, greediness, ignorance, false bliss. This wasn’t the way I wanted to live my life, so I promise to actively make the change.

To my daughters,

In order for you two be happy and healthy, we all need to work hard to prevent climate change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to purchase carbon offsets when we fly.

To My Daughter and Future Grandchildren,

There are so many more things that we can do together to help our Earth from the damage that has been done, and I am so excited to teach you.

Dear Tomorrow-My letter to the future 2030

I am most sorry we could not work through our differences, and see through the greed, get organized, and do more so that you could have a better life in your 2030 future.

Jeremy M,

My promise is to work to protest carbon emissions.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to ask five of my friends to plant trees.
