Dear future me,

How you doing? I probably know the answer to that. Good, right? Yeah, that’s what I thought. How’s the planet? Saved? Damn straight. How’s the grass? Green? Well, you can thank me for that. Right here right now, I am promising to my future self that I will help save our planet. Life is too good! I don’t want to stop living it. So, I promise that I will work hard to save our beautiful home. I hope you still love the smell of the fall, the smell of fresh cut grass, the sound of waves washing up on the rocky coast. These things will all disappear unless we save them. Unless we act now! So, I promise that I will act now. I got you.

Love,

You

Dear Amara and Uma,

Maybe you heard about bats? Bats, the carriers of this disease that spread among us like wild fire. I love bats. When I was your age today, sitting in the evening on the back terrace of your grandparent’s home in Ibiza, hundreds of bats would play, dance and sing among the trees.
