Dear Future Generations,

Sorry we bunked the fun for all of you. Are there still tigers in your generation? Because tigers are insanely cool, and to see a tiger in person is breathtaking. It would be a tragedy if your only knowledge and understanding of these creatures was reduced to old videos and pictures on the Internet. Hopefully, your generation has become more mature about protecting the Earth than my generation. Maybe you guys have found a way to harness solar power for every aspect of life or some sort of renewable, clean energy source. But I’m sure the cost of innovation is nowhere near the cost of all the things that have been lost since then. Are there still lush forests and flowers? Have the bees gone extinct? I would most certainly hope not, because those small things helped define great moments in my time and I would be greatly saddened to learn that in the future, the planet has become desolate of most life. At the time I’m writing this message, things are looking pretty bleak: there’s an increase of all things bad, like floods, forest fires and carbon in the atmosphere and oceans. But the future is not set in stone, and the clichéd, overused aphorism “Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it” applies more then ever for you. Learn from our mistakes: take action and stand up for preserving the world you live in. Do not succumb to the politics and the leaders that only care about themselves. Continue to strive for change and show grit in dealing with all of your struggles. Learn from our mistakes, and act in a way that will not have you writing a message to future generations as I am now.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to only use metal straws and reusable cups.

Dear Matthew, Sam, and Sophie,

There is a promise in the Bible: ‘I shall restore the years that the locusts have eaten’ and that points to a promise of complete healing and restoration. But until that comes I intend to do my best to ‘save the planet’ in whatever way I can, and I encourage you to do the same.

Dear child,

The journey of humanity does not take us to Mars like the world now likes to believe. It takes us home to our true self where there is no separate self. Where we are all one. You know all this. Look after yourself my child, look after your brother, your friends, your children, all the animals and the whole planet. Love them like there is no tomorrow.

Dear my future child,

I promise you, I am going to do everything I can to save this planet for you. I won’t let you down, I swear.

To My Dear Children, Jackson Carlo and Stella Jane,

I am a better person because of you, and I want the world to be a better place for you.

Dear My Future Child,

I want to sculpt a world for you where you can play outside without gas masks, an ocean to swim in without toxins, and a thick lively forest for you to wander.

Dear Granddaughter Rosalia,

This is my heritage for you my beautiful cacheticos de melon.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to reduce electricity at home. I will turn off the TV and lights when I’m not in the room.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to purchase carbon offsets when we fly.

Caro me stesso,

Non so dove e con chi sarò nel 2050, spero che sia un anno migliore di quello appena passato .

Dear grandkids,

I believe this fusion of ecology and economy backed by the digital technology is our great achievement.

dear tomorrow,

I hope that the state of the environment becomes a part of everyday discourse.
