As you read this, you are undoubtedly aware of the legacy of waste and destruction that has been left by our generation.

I will work to promote discussion, learning, and action about how our collective choices about the things we buy, use and all-too-quickly discard represent wasted natural resources, a disregard for human labor, and a legacy of embodied carbon emissions for future generations to deal with.

I am focused on changing how we build and maintain our world, working to find ways that will make our infrastructure more efficient and sustainable, as the earth is more vulnerable than our generation ever imagined.

Meaningful environmental change is a long game, and I commit to being persistent and patient with even routine choices and changes in my lifestyle that can yield meaningful results. We owe your generation a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient future. I am committed to do all that I can personally and professionally to raise awareness of the impact our actions have on the planet, and help us get there.

I can only say that I devoted myself to doing as much as I could to make it better, to provide for a just transition, and to fight those forces that continued to exploit the Eaarth with extractive methods, methods that always also included oppressing some people–because those doing the oppression believed that they were better and deserved more.
