Dear Future Generations,

We are living on a planet where the snow and ice are melting, the sea levels are rising, there is an increase in warmer days (heat waves), and a decrease in cooler days due to anthropogenic emissions. We have caused the temperature to increase, and the changes in climate. It is time for the human population to take immediate action and make changes, so we can potentially live on a healthy planet. Our future generations deserve to live on a planet where they are able to see snow and enjoy the fresh air. I am hoping we continue to move forward with renewable energy, including wind, solar, and hydropower, so we can stop depending on fossil fuels and other non-renewables for energy. I hope we will be using 100% renewable energy before or in the year of 2050. On the other note, we can take the first step to reducing our energy usage by unplugging appliances and turning off lights when it is not in use, line drying clothes outside, and simply switching to environmentally friendly light bulbs. In addition, we can ride bicycles and scooters, walk, or take the bus to reduce our carbon footprint on transportation. By taking these small steps, it will eventually become bigger steps to improving our environment. We are given one planet to live on, so we should take better care of it.

More Messages to the Future

My dearest Paloma Bear,

I want the very best for you and for generations to come. There is only one planet earth. Your mommy and I will make a genuine effort to make an impact to protect it for you.

To My Daughter and Future Grandchildren,

There are so many more things that we can do together to help our Earth from the damage that has been done, and I am so excited to teach you.

Dear Future Me,

I hope that when we look back on these years,  you’ll see that humanity can be good. That we joined together and fixed it because of we don’t, who will?

Dear Ezmae,

As I write this, I consider giving up as it sometimes seems that all is lost. But then I think of you.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise my next vehicle will be an EV.

To my precious children

I want clean air, clean energy and muddy feet for you. I want this for all children.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to be creative – make art!

Son,

Make the most of every day because remember yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift.

Dear son,

Everyone should be grow at least 100 trees in his lifetime.

Dear Generations to Be,

If we could all slow down, look around and connect: with each other, the Earth, the sky, the plants and rocks and animals, then maybe we can all remember to treat everyone and everything with respect and live in love.

My darling Cassidy,

I know I need to write this to you, and I don’t want to because it makes me so sad. I have been desperately avoiding my feelings about climate change, for many years, but especially and with greater intensity every year since you were born.

To future Geof,

Cool, now that your jetpack is put away in your garage where you keep your flying car; how did the aliens save us from our own destruction? Did they have this hyper advance vacuum that just sucks all the greenhouse gases out of our atmosphere?
