Dear future generations,

First and foremost, I hope this letter finds you well. I must sincerely apologize for my own, as well as many others, inactivity in regards to climate change. I sit here in late September of 2018 having witnessed some of the most horrific weather events in history which have occurred over the last few years.

From droughts to floods to fires to sinking nations I have sat by idly for years knowing the destruction we are wreaking on mother earth. Well, enough is enough! I pledge to you now that I will work tirelessly and with all my willpower so you don’t have to live in a world where you have to worry about the next storm. I will be a loud advocate and work to the fullest extent of my abilities to make sure we preserve our beautiful planet. I know it is not too late!

More Messages to the Future

Dear James,

More importantly, what are we doing to better our planet and everyone who lives in it?

Dear Future Generations,

I promise to make as many changes to my life as possible to make yours as great as mine.

Meus filhos,

Espero que vcs tb encontrem ,de alguma forma,um caminho para colaborarem com Nossa Mãe Terra, bjs eternos.

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.

Dear fellow human,

May my tomorrow include more attention to these details so that you know that I do care.

Dear Llewyn, beloved grandson …

I can only say that I devoted myself to doing as much as I could to make it better, to provide for a just transition, and to fight those forces that continued to exploit the Eaarth with extractive methods, methods that always also included oppressing some people–because those doing the oppression believed that they were better and deserved more.

Dear Eleanor,

It seems silly to saddle yourself with guilt for something that hasn’t happened yet. I don’t want to do that. As of today, I don’t really feel guilty. I guess I just want to make sure I keep doing more, so that when you read this, and ask what I’ve done since then, I can still feel good about my efforts.

Oh My Lovely Faizan,

I love you my son. You are waking up now. Hopefully tomorrow, more of us will, too.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will convince my family to switch their gas appliances to electric.

Dear Future Self,

I hope you got your dream job of using your business degree to reduce co2 emissions and promote sustainable energy.

Dear future Michelle,

As consumers, it is our duty to protest and force companies to be greener and avoid environmental damage, whether they are from the food industry or from any other production industry. It’s about time we start thinking greener.

Hello spawn,

I am small now littles and I may be small forever but in my small ways I will fight for you.
