Dear future family,

Hello,

I hope the world still exists and that Florida is still above water. I say this because here, in the year 2018, the future is not predicted to look good. This is because of an environmental factor called climate change, that is predicted to take a toll on our Earth. If it is extremely hot or cold where you are, I am sorry. I used to never take the issue of climate change serious, as many people in this day and age do not. However, this all changed when I took a class on climate change from a passionate professor that opened my eyes to these issues. She explained to me the concept of greenhouse gases, and in particular CO2 emissions, and how by doing certain things, we release these emissions into the air, which eventually get trapped in the atmosphere and heat up the earth as a whole. It is by doing everyday things, such as driving gasoline fueled cars, and eating red meats, that these emissions are sent up into the atmosphere.

After my professor brought these issues, and the potential devastating effects they could have, to my attention, I decided to make a change. Not just for my well being, but for the future generations, such as yourselves, as well. I bought an electric vehicle to curb my use of fossil fuels, and also cut back on my consumption of red meat. I will suggest to all those who will listen, to do the same as well. I hope we were not too late to save our planet from from this devastating potential future, and I hope you are well. I want you to be able to live in a healthy and safe planet and be able to see snow, and glaciers, as I had the opportunity too.

Peace,

Great-great-great grandpa
