Dear Future,

Right now things are intense. With the Coronavirus occurring, most people are in quarantine. Because of this there is mitigation to life in general. As for the environment electricity is being used at an extreme. People are in there homes using their devices. This could also be an effect of environment. Additionally, there is a lot of people cooking which can also be releasing CO2 and constant use of natural gas and other aerosols. Due to this there might be a mitigation, but it can be prevented if there is a limit to the amount being used at home.

I hope that in the future mitigation does not happen where things stop and are barley taking action. I hope there is more renewable and reusable energy sources to prevent mitigation. I hope EVERYONE is using LED lights and cooking environmentally friendly foods to have little to no amounts of carbon footprints. This would help decrease mitigation from happening. I hope there are large amounts of reusable items and that people actually use those items. I hope everyone is considering the things they use and do that may impact the environment.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to stop using electricity too much.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will encourage everyone to get OUT of their cars and onto public transit.

Dear Tomorrow,

Less meat, more on my feet!

dear me in 2030,

I am smelling burning plastic!

We will look back on our time here and ask, “What did I do?”

If we truly live our present moment, maybe you’ll have a future.

Dear Rosie,

But when you are reading this years from now, by the light of a solar powered lamp, know that your dad, mom and millions of others who burned brightly with love for our kids did what we could, when we knew the stakes.

Dearest Gray,

When I asked you why the purple Violet called to you, you told me it was “magic”. I hope that you can still find the magic of life. I hope, despite everything, it is still in abundance.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to contact my local officials on passing measures against climate change

Dear tomorrow,

If there’s one thing young people have learned while quarantining, it’s that Gen Z holds so much power and is capable of a lot more than we think. We’ve created a community that has united us all and started to bring about change for the good of our futures. Now, with the help of Gen Z (and of course, people of all ages), we have the power to save our home, the Earth.

Dear My Future Child,

I want to sculpt a world for you where you can play outside without gas masks, an ocean to swim in without toxins, and a thick lively forest for you to wander.

To my daughter,

The climate is quite dynamic these days. Dhaka has dust and warm in this spring.

To my Maria and her children,

I have to tell you something: it is so hard to keep our life “green” for now, but we still keep trying.
