Dear future,

I hope there is a future, and that we have been better at taking care of our home. The world today is pretty bad to the environment, and as I learn more in class I see that at the pace we are going our world will be nothing in the future. I hope we have gotten better at limiting our carbon emissions and aerosols. I hope that there is more electric vehicles and that the factories have gone green. I want my future family to live in a world where the world is very green and natural resources are not exploited. I hope people have changed their ways and tried to limit their carbon footprint, so there is a future to write to.

Sincerely,
A present green student

More Messages to the Future

To my sons,

I’m voting with climate change as a top priority. I’ve tried to teach you boys that we need to clean up after ourselves and take care of the earth. I promise to continue doing these actions and more, for your sake.

To my Children,

As you look through your window, I hope you will see a bright future. I hope you dream big, and that you have the courage, drive, and fortitude to do everything you can to achieve those dreams.

Dear Finley,

I wonder if in 2050 we will be looking at a future where fear from the changes at hand has caused people to hate rather than love and provide hope. Perhaps in that world we will we no longer comprehend the biblical texts in a meaningful way. Will climate change be the end of the epoch of God?

to my dearest children,

Our future is being made now, and I promise to do everything in my power to make yours safe.

Dear Tomorrow,

The only way to survive it, even if you don’t feel like you’re winning, is to keep your hands on the rope.

My dear Honeys,

I think every parent believes that their child’s future is worth protecting – because I know the power of this force in me and what I am willing to do.

Dear old dude Mårten,

I know that the 2019 version of me (today that is) wished and hoped for that I did all within my power to turn the world around without loosing sight on the beauty of being alive.

Dear Maret,

Right now I want to be hopeful. Right now I want to think that we took action to ensure this beautiful future for you.

dear future children,

As I write this, our world is slowly giving way to climate change.

For my most dear and only daughter,

And I know life more fully because of you whom I live on through.

Dear Lucy,

The clock ticks, time passes, and the earth and all of its inhabitants move closer to dangerous boundaries we can dimly discern but cannot see clearly.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to ride more and drive less.
