I want you to be able to bring your kids to Tahoe and experience the same clarity that you had as a child.

Dear Erica and Matthew,

Tahoe has always been our favorite place, and I so love spending our summers up there. I love that we walk and bike everywhere, I love the trailheads all around our neighborhood, and I love spending the day paddle boarding into town.  To keep Tahoe the place we love we must continue to support organizations like Sierra Watch that are fighting the Squaw and Martis Valley developments. As a family, we must continue to Keep Squaw True!!! The Tahoe Basin and the clarity of our beloved lake are at stake if we continue to allow huge developments into the basin. I want you to be able to bring your kids to Tahoe and experience the same clarity that you had as a child.

To future Geof,

Cool, now that your jetpack is put away in your garage where you keep your flying car; how did the aliens save us from our own destruction? Did they have this hyper advance vacuum that just sucks all the greenhouse gases out of our atmosphere?

Dear future generations,

I pledge to you now that I will work tirelessly and with all my willpower so you don’t have to live in a world where you have to worry about the next storm.

Here’s the biggest secret: I KNOW it will have. We may not realize how, but we have changed the world.

My darling Cassidy,

I know I need to write this to you, and I don’t want to because it makes me so sad. I have been desperately avoiding my feelings about climate change, for many years, but especially and with greater intensity every year since you were born.

Dear Tomorrow

I promise to encourage myself and others to recycle more.

Dear AC,

I think a lot about where the right place to live is.
