Dear Brother,

I am writing to you because you will be well into your career as a mechanical engineer. With that career, I hope you may be interested into making more green things to help rid the earth of fossil fuel reliance. I think my main concern regarding climate change in 2020 is that while we need to change our fossil fuel consumption habits, there are really no options people can turn to. Or if they are they are far too expensive. My promise would be I hope the next car I buy in my adult life will be electric. I also hope to make my future home as energy efficient as possible with solar panels. I think it would be very cool if you were working on the very products I hope to invest in my future as well as make them more affordable for others.

Best,
Georgia

Dear Future Me: Only open after March 4th, 2050

I don’t regret my past ventures, nor do I believe I will regret my future ventures, but I’ve learned that I’ve needed to manifest these experiences into actions of sustainable development and conservation and protection of our environment.

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.

Dear Devon and Chloe

I hope that my work helping to make your schools more sustainable will be something you carry on as you grow older.

Dear Tomorrow

I promise to educate others TODAY.

Dear Darlings,

I commit to you to change one thing a year in our lifestyle to live more environmentally friendly.

My dear Honeys,

Dear future child whatever your name is,

Climate change right now is really bad, I’m writing this during the COP26 conference in Glasgow (which is an hour away) and I’m listening to politicians talking about promises for the future. “If we fail, future generations will never forgive us.” -Boris Johnson

Dearest Gray,

When I asked you why the purple Violet called to you, you told me it was “magic”. I hope that you can still find the magic of life. I hope, despite everything, it is still in abundance.

Dear Josh, LeeAnn, & Jessica,

I am very proud to know that You will treat Our Earth, Our Natural Gift, Our Playful Backyard with the same Awesome Respect that We give to each other, as a Family – Knowing that Our Earth, is Your Child Now.

Hi buddy,

I can now see that the solutions are there, that a transition of the magnitude that is needed, is possible.

Dear A and C,

You are growing up in a time of immense change. In the last two years alone, we’ve learned so much about big and important issues including climate change and the systemic racism that runs through our institutions.
